Turning off your pot washer for a little bit longer?

4 easy steps for best results

During the summer period, kitchen owners tend to let pot washers unused for longer periods of time. This can be mainly due to a temporary closure of the restaurant or the absence of employees at work.  

The shutting down process is as important as the activation process. If done well, it can prevent high maintenance costs in the long- term and can ensure a smooth restarting process of the machine.

Below, we have gathered four simple but effective steps to follow when leaving your machine unused.

1. Collect the granules

Collecting the granules is the first step in shutting your pot washer down. Once gathered, rinse with water and leave the collector in the sink for step 4.

2. Drain the water

Drain the machine of water and make sure all granules and water are completely removed. Leave the drain valve open.

3. Switch off the main isolator

When the machine is empty from water and granules, we recommend you to switch off the main isolator. Most of the time, it can is located on the wall.

4. Clean and leave drain valve and doors open

As the final step, clean your machine properly and place the granule collector with the granules inside the machine. Leave both drain valve and the doors/hood open to enable air to circulate. Have a good summer!
