PowerGranules BIO

A revolution in the world of ware washing

We’ve tested and tried for hours and hours, to find a granule with the right shape, density, and size, to efficiently clean your wash ware - all while being kind to the environment.

Now we can finally introduce PowerGranules BIO. A partly biobased granule, made from three main ingredients: calcium salt, rapeseed oil, and a combination of biodegradable polyesters. The particles created as the granules wear are fully degradable in soil (read more below).

A greener alternative to the plastic original PowerGranules.

To maintain an impeccable wash result it is essential to always have the right volume of Granules in your machine. Check and fill up daily.

Compatibility

PowerGranules BIO is compatible with all Granule Technology™ machines - older models, as well as new. Mixing PowerGranules BIO with the original PowerGranules is NOT recommended.

Particles from PowerGranules BIO are verified biodegradable according to ISO 17556:2019 - biodegradability of plastics in soil.

Proven degradability in soil

The particles generated when using PowerGranules BIO in granule ware washing machines from Nordisk Clean Solutions AB have successfully been tested according to ISO 17556:2019 - biodegradability of plastics in soil and reached 94% degradation in 24 months.

Hence particles created when using PowerGranules BIO are not considered microplastics according to EU regulation 2023/2055.

Tough on dirty pots and pans, but kind to the environment

The special composition gives PowerGranules BIO the right characteristics; hard enough to remove even baked-on food, but still soft enough not to harm your cookware. PowerGranules BIO is in full compliance with the EU requirements for use in contact with food, and harmless in case of ingestion.

Recycling

As there at present is no way to separate regular plastic from biodegradable plastic at waste facilities, PowerGranuels BIO is to be recycled as combustible waste.

The packaging is made from 40% recycled regular plastic and can be recycled as plastic waste.
